Our Story
Welcome to Banff Sweet Shoppe! A local favorite proudly owned by Elaine Standish. Elaine grew up in the beautiful Bow Valley and has years of experience in retail.
Back in 1992, Elaine opened a Club Monaco in this very spot. But ten years later, inspired by her children — especially Andrew, who now manages the shop — she decided to take a new direction. She dreamed of creating an old-fashioned candy store that would spark childhood memories and make everyone feel welcome.
After a lot of hard work refurbishing the store, Banff Sweet Shoppe officially opened its doors in 2002. Since then, it has become the longest-running locally owned candy store in Banff. That local ownership means a lot to the community. Over the years, the charming storefront has become an iconic fixture on Banff Avenue, standing strong and sweet in the midst of a constantly changing retail scene.
The team also loves working with Global Reach Confections — not just for their delicious European chocolates, licorice, and treats, but also for their easy ordering, fast delivery, and super friendly customer service!
