The Old Farm Market first opened its doors in 1985 with a simple goal: to bring the freshest, best-priced produce to Vancouver Island.
In 2017, Lorne Campbell (son of Alex Campbell, co-founder of Thrifty Foods) took the reins with a renewed vision of what a truly local grocery store could be. Drawing from his family’s deep roots in the Island’s grocery tradition, Lorne set out to revive the spirit of that old-school shopping experience, where community comes first, quality speaks for itself, and every shopper feels like a neighbour, not a number.
Today, The Old Farm Market stands as a proud local staple, offering the island’s best selection of fresh fruits and vegetables at unbeatable prices. And while produce is our focus, we have expansive selections across many departments to meet our customers’ needs.
Each of our stores has earned top honours from their communities, including #1 Best Grocery Store and #1 Best Produce. But awards aside, our true success is measured in the trust and smiles of the people we serve every day.
